Veggie tunnel gives new hope

ADT Security staff got their hands dirty in a worthwhile community project, constructing a vegetable tunnel for an underprivileged school.

This year’s lucky recipient is Imbaliyezwe Junior Primary School, in Inchanga. One thousand spinach seedlings were planted during this year’s Earth Week and, in addition, the school is able to generate income through selling spinach to surrounding schools in the community.

“I would like to commend our team on its hard work and active participation in this worthwhile project,” said Graham Boys, managing director of ADT KZN. “The role of education in eradicating poverty cannot be overstated. These children are so happy with the new vegetable tunnel and I would like to thank the staff at ADT for their hard work, “said headmaster of the school, Sbu Khumalo.
